Un mariage devant l’hôtel de ville
L’Hôtel de ville, devant lequel vous vous trouvez, est un bâtiment remarquable au passé singulier. D’abord lieu pour le prestige de la noblesse, puis pour des notables, il devient le centre du pouvoir municipal en 1873. Avant sa construction, le monastère des Clarisses occupait les lieux (1632 à 1657).
Un hôtel de prestige : Sieur de Perrochel, seigneur de Saint Aubin de Locquenay, construit ici un hôtel particulier entre 1776 et 1779, juste après l’ouverture de la route royale. Durant la Révolution, la propriété est acquise par la famille Delélés, puis par les notables Régouin (1815) et Révelière (1825).
Le maire Jules Dumans acquiert ce bâtiment en 1873. L’Hôtel de ville abritera les services municipaux pendant 125 ans, jusqu’en 1998.

A wedding at the town hall
The City Hall, in front of which you are standing, is a remarkable building with an unusual history. First a place of prestige for the nobility, then for notable figures, it became the center of municipal power in 1873. Before its construction, the Poor Clares’ monastery occupied the site (1632 to 1657).
A prestigious mansion: Sieur de Perrochel, lord of Saint Aubin de Locquenay, built a private mansion here between 1776 and 1779, just after the opening of the royal road. During the Revolution, the property was acquired by the Delélés family, and later by the notable Régouin (1815) and Révelière (1825).
Mayor Jules Dumans acquired this building in 1873. The town hall housed the municipal services for 125 years, until 1998.
